Abstract: This course introduces the concepts and calculus for polarized light transport. This is particularly handy for physically based rendering and computer vision to take polarization effects into account. The course will present the prerequisites for building an own polarized light rendering engine and presents examples to use polarization both in familiar rendering and computer vision scenarios. Further it will walk you through the process of performing computer vision with a polarization camera.
