Recognition Benefits

SIGGRAPH Asia 2020 will take place in a fully virtual format this year from 4 - 13 December 2020: 

Pre-virtual conference (From 4 December). Pre-recorded video presentations will be available on the platform, on-demand, including Posters. This will allow registered attendees to watch presentations at their own pace and let them formulate questions and discussion topics to be addressed by authors during the virtual conference week.

Virtual conference week (10 - 13 December) will feature sessions in multiple formats for different programs:

• Live sessions
• Simulive sessions featuring pre-recorded presentation videos with a live text chat function
• Moderated virtual Q&A sessions, featuring questions captured during the pre-virtual conference and during the simulive sessions.

The Recognition Benefits for Contributors are designed to acknowledge and appreciate their contributions to the conference. The policy provides discounts on early registration fees as summarized in the table below. The discounts are applied:

• To the registration category selected by the individual contributor or volunteer.
• To the early registration fees regardless of when registration is completed.
• Bear in mind when choosing a registration category, what registration level is needed to get into your presentation and/or installation.

Limited budgets for registration discounts are available, and SIGGRAPH Asia would like to maximize their use for presenters and students who would not be able to attend by other means. By doing so we are striving to present a larger pool of presenters and students, from a variety of geographic areas, with the opportunity to attend SIGGRAPH Asia.

The basic recognition policy is based on a percentage discount off the early (ACM SIGGRAPH Member) registration fees for whichever registration category the presenter or volunteer chooses (regardless of when registration is completed), according to the following table. To register as a student and receive a discount off the student member registration fee, the contributor must be a current student member of ACM or ACM SIGGRAPH. In order to realize your registration discount, you need to register through the SIGGRAPH Asia 2020 Online Registration System. You will be advised on online registration deadlines in your acceptance email.

Contributors will receive a single code for the appropriate number of registrations listed above. Discount codes and instructions for online registration will be available till the end of November.

Each contributor gets the highest discount available without aggregating discounts for multiple presentations. Discounts are ONLY transferable to an individual who is a co-contributor or co-presenter of the work and recognized as such on the SIGGRAPH Asia 2020 web site.

If a contributor’s employer is willing to pay for registration, SIGGRAPH Asia encourages the contributor to waive the recognition discount. Any overall savings goes to enhance the overall attendee experience at the virtual conference.
